Wow. I grew up listening to the Statler Brothers because my parents and grandparents played their music ALL THE TIME. I remember feeling like I really hated them. Hated them with a passion as hot as a million suns.
Now, whenever I hear one of their songs I catch myself tapping my foot and singing along. I guess I really didn’t hate them but my Teenage Zombie Brain told me, at the time, that I must pretend to despise them.
Sigh. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. 
The Statlers are great. As are Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins. And his brother Luther.
That’s doesn’t mean I don’t like Metallica and Misfits and Nirvana. But they all rocked in their own way.
