Miller, can I use this as my sig?
Oooh, maybe it means we get a double feature tonight? I miss my late night double feature picture show.
[sub]Possibly one will be DreadCthulu vs THE GREAT CTHULU. That’s the one where the radiation makes him spilt in two, right? Hope Tokyo makes it this time. Someone pass the Raisinettes![/sub]
Ok, just in case Miller doesn’t come back to this thread, I’m going to go out on a limb and make an ass-u-me-tion that Miller won’t care if I use this and might in fact be flattered that I think its so funny I want it for a sig.
Miller, if I’m wrong, please let me know and I will change it.
I can’t get past this, and it’s preventing me from enjoying the rest of the thread. Forty years? It’s not a nitpick to correct that impression. The Cold War, in the sense in which that term is most frequently used, ended around 1990. How can an American high school student, and a fairly literate one at that, not know this?
On the other hand, it’s good that you understand that much of the time, grownups don’t know what they’re talking about, and are generally full of shit. Some people never achieve this realization.
By the way, I just read that the Pentagon is keeping gas masks on hand for visitors. That’s hospitality!
But point out to NinjaDad that he would have been vaporized in the approved safe position, not just in any old slouch or terrified run! (Style is everything. ;))
[hijack] BTW, NinjaChick, there are two different threads I’d like you to read and comment on. [/hijack]
I think the best date for the end of the Cold War was November 11th, 1989. The day the Wall fell.
It was only fourteen years ago. It feels like another age.
Oh, shut your squamous epithelium, Cthulhu!!
You plagiarist BASTARD!
No, kidding, I’m honored. Use it and be happy.
My parents have vintage pamplets that tell how to pile boxes and furniture against the garage door (where you’re hiding out), real tight, so the radiation won’t get in.
