We are not worthy of Serena Williams' badass beauty

I guess I can see where some might be shocked by her outburst, but to me it’s pretty meh; I hear worse than that at work every day, even when things are going well. YMMV, obviously.

My point, really, tho, was that taking the very worst outburst by a professional athlete and uber-competitor and extrapolating from that to conclude “she’s crazy” seems kind of like seeing footage of a family dog barking furiously at an off-camera intruder and concluding that the dog is deranged.

Obviously, since she was sanctioned for her behavior, it wasn’t acceptable; what it was, tho, was understandable in context and, IMO, not actually that unusual for a highly competitive person. Since you bring him up, Mr. McEnroe is a perfect example of a guy who’s generally really cool, but in competition becomes a somewhat different sort of personality.

ETA: BTW, was there really a printed comment from Mr. McEnroe about Miss Williams’ outburst?

McEnroe said “She topped me.”

Serena claims that lots of players have on-court tantrums, so it’s unfair to criticize her for her own. What she’s missing is that players like McEnroe got plenty of public opprobrium, and that she’s the only player you can name who’s threatened more than one umpire with violence.

Thanks for the link, but I have to quibble with you that Mr. McEnroe did not say what you claim he said; the proper quote, according to your link, is "“My first thought was ‘Wow, she topped me’.”

The sentiment is nearly identical, but what you said he said was out of context and not at all accurate.

Your’re right, you are quibbling.

But I pulled it from memory, so I’ll beg forgiveness and withdraw.

“Allowed”? Where did he say anything of the sort? You might be surprised by this, but beauty is subjective. We’re all “allowed” to have our own interpretation.

She is not pretty (Venus is though) and not hot.

I would put her down as “striking”. Which has an attraction of its own.

Yes, I’d describe her as “impressive”, “awe-inspiring” even. “Sexually attractive”-not in a million years.

That’s impressive; but I’ve always found women with softer curves and a little plumpness to be more attractive. I’ve always been that way; even as a teenager in the “heroin chic” days of fashion.

Seriously, seriously unattractive.

Concussions, contusions, broken bones, dislocations… When she strikes you, you know you’ve been struck!

Agree. I seriously thought this had to be a joke thread. Name any 500 female athletes or celebrities, and Serena would have to be in the bottom 20. Name any female tennis players, and Serena has to be in the bottom two, though I have no idea who would rival her for last place.

Some of y’all are crazy. Miss Williams is both beautiful and sexy.

I would think the obvious choice is her sister Venus.

I’ve got to go along with those that do not find her sexy, though the picture in the OP is fascinating.

Not even “attractive”. Not her face, not her figure. And I usually like fit women.

Not my cup of mocha.

Shodan

Agreed.

And a great athlete.

Well, you’re in luck, then. I make one less dude competing with you for her affections (not that SHE’S lying awake pining for flabby me, either!).

Go get her, Tiger! I won’t get in your way. I’ll be over here with a 10 foot pole.

Is that some sort of stealth brag?

I didn’t realize he was into that sort of stuff, but I can see where she could pull it off!

I’ve never found SW attractive. Just not my type. Plus, that pic is either photoshopped or taken in such a way that downplays her, let’s just say “less than feminine” qualities.

Maybe be meant a 10-foot Pole.

To paraphrase Eddie Murphy, don’t make her mad while having sex. She might clench up and rip your dick off.

Great player, though.
