A little optimistic there UEFA?
Total fantasy. It’s already hand to hand fighting in the supermarkets to get a loaf of bread, anyone over 70 is being asked to self-quarantine for months, but we’re going to reschedule 100s of football games against an escalating global pandemic. LOL.
Initially tHought this was something that could stand a bit of a horse-trading approach but now reckon null and void looking more and more likely. Sounds extreme but it’s the only way to minimise legal exposure for the leagues, force majeure. Otherwise you’re down the rabbit hole of favourable treatment for various teams (admittedly not something that has troubled the EPL conscience to date). Absolute sickener for Leeds if it comes to pass.
Yeah, it’s terrible… oh, it’s Leeds, never mind - still doesn’t make up for the titles they cheated their way to in the 70s :).
I’m suffering from withdrawal symptoms - watching the MotD repeat Sunday morning is a highly appreciated part of my weekend routine. I actually dreamed a complete EPL game last night: Arsenal - Chelsea. It ended 0-10.
Here in the US they are showing repeats of games from this year and prior years. They started that last weekend for various sports. Is that not true outside the US?
There is always Football Manager.
Aston Villa v Sheffield United live now
Man City v Arsenal next on NBCSN with canned crowd noise.
We have one channel with the fake crowd noice and one without. Both are odd.
I agree but the crowd noise is rather comforting imo. 5 subs is odd too.
Is finishing the season really worth the injury risk? I would have cancelled the season and started a normal training camp in July.
I dont understand how David Luiz keeps getting jobs at top teams. He is consistently awful.
Playing sport is an injury risk. I think the season played so far should be worth something. Trophies and league statuses are still not resolved.
Did anyone catch any of the La Liga games where they superimposed a fake crowd into the seats? It was hilariously shitty looking. Looked like the crowd from Madden '95.
Did anyone catch the Everton Liverpool Derby at the weekend? Absolute charade of a game, seen more intense matches at the local park - but it was the most watched premiership game ever in the UK!
Combination of being broadcast free to view, and the timeslot of Sunday evening (which is unusual) had 5.5 million people tuning in.
Going with the 2020 is a year that is weird and unique, its odd that we went months without football and now its basically on every day. Im very grateful for the return, btw. But weird.
Amazing goal by Pulisic. Come on USA. We have a few great players, Lets get it together.
If I could have one single player to start my Madsircool FC it would be DeBruyne. He is an amazing well rounded player.
Congrats Liverpool! The earliest, and latest, EPL champs!
If I was drafting for a frachise vs trying to win this year I would pick Mbappe, but otherwise yeah. He’s wonderful.
That was only the second match this year where I thought Man City were the worse team. I tend to be skeptical of players getting high profile coaching gigs right away, but Lampard had his tactics down pat.
Nice FA Cup win as Chelsea disposes of Leicester, with an incisive cross from Willian that was sneakily volleyed in by Barkley.
Beauty.
Next up: against Man U in the semis.
