Friday night, Mr. Jeannie and I went down to the pet store and came home with…(drumroll)…a guinea pig! I’m so thrilled! My first choice would have been a rabbit, but we’ve heard that they’re kind of smelly and dirty. Actually, my ideal pet would be a dog, but our apartment doesn’t allow them.
Anyway, she’s just the cutest darn thing. She’s brown and black. And she seems to really like to be out of her cage and cuddle with us. We named her Loki (I know, Loki is a god, not a goddess, but…whatever).
So, any advice from guinea pig owners? Tips? Tricks?
I’m just so thrilled that we got her!
I just want to know what kind of experiments you have planned for little Loki.

God is my co-pilot. Blame Him.
They are cute, but they do get lonely. You need to get a companion for the cute lil’ thing, something with an even temperment.
Like a snake.
Make sure you give your new piggie some Vitamin C in her water bottle. You should be able to buy some in the pet store. I also used to use something called Ammo-Cat, which you can mix in the litter to keep the piggie’s cage smelling fresh. Good luck, and enjoy your new pet
