We need an AssHatRack

Cool! I had no idea where the term originated. Sounds unpleasant. Especially for those of us with hairy butts.

You left out the most crucial point, though. Did they have a rack?

To be precise, I don’t think the word “asshat” as an insult is etymologically derived from the space program’s asshat. But so far as I know, they did indeed keep them in a rack.

Want the Straight Dope on “asshat”? Check out the official Asshat Site. Unfortunately, it doesn’t trell us what to do with them.

Ya know, my mental picture of an asshat is a bit Silence of the Lambs. Someone walking around with an actual ass on their head, maybe with a little chin strap so it doesn’t slip off. If that were the case, we’d definitely need to go with the cubbies and perhaps little ass forms so the asshats wouldn’t lose their nice ass shapes.

Also, typing ass is fun; ass ass ass.

Just doing my part to fight ignorance…

Not until Sally Ride joined the team.

I’m still trying to cope with the fact that I used the word “asshat” in anger a couple of days ago. I have a perfectly good toolbox of tried and true expressions that have been with me for years, but for some reason this new term, one I hadn’t encountered prior to the SDMB, was exactly the right one and I reached for it without thinking.

This person was not an asshole, he was not a dickhead, he was not a fuckwad, nor was he a moron. He had qualities of each, but none of them summed up the totality. He was, in fact, an asshat. Before I found this site, I would have been kept awake for days by a niggling feeling that I hadn’t quite encapsulated his odiousness.

Truly, ignorance has been fought.

With regard to the asshat rack, I have some design ideas but the most important of them is that it should be covered in some form of 1970’s era deep pile shag carpet, preferably in a shade of blue that is not found in nature. A built in can opener would be a plus.
