Does this classify as UL, or is it just a hoax? Anyway, here’s the story behind rumors that Paul McCarney was dead.

Any of you hear about the Disney plan to produce an animated musical of LOLITA with John Lithgow voicing Humbert Humbert, Britney Spears as Lolita, & Steve Martin as Clare Quilty?
Because if you did, that was my invention. Only now, I’d cast Jamie Lynn Spears instead of Britney.
Your story about Coke’s new C2 beverage has already been making the rounds. I heard it yesterday (from 2 different people). There is a C2 taste test/ sample booth at the Ohio State Fair. I overheard 2 different people tell others that Coke’s C2 is really the same as the “New Coke” that failed so dismally in the 80’s. Either your site has a lot of gullible visitors, or someone else came up with the same story and is spreading it around Columbus, Ohio.
The person who created the Cabbage Patch Kids UL has admitted it.

First of all, I really highly disapprove of this. But people are gullible so who am I to stop you.
Do you guys all remember the President Bush IQ report that came out? The one where it had a list of President’s IQ’s, with Bush at the bottom?
Well a newsletter I subscribed to at the time created that. They wrote me and all the subscribers and told us they were going to.
At first it was hush-hush, in the newsletter only. Before long I started getting the letter forwarded from other people, claiming it was true. Whether they were in on the hoax or no, I never asked. But they were friends, so they would have told me directly if they heard it from the website/newsletter.
Eventually they confessed to it, and it died down somewhat. For those who are interested, here are the links.

Now I am not as naive as I used to be. It’s possible that the whole UL itself is a hoax, as in Linky & Dinky claim they made it up but never did! So take it with lots of salt.
Again, I think this is kind of horrible, but no skin off my back. I take everything with a grain of salt these days.
I just tried contacting you from that site, but it kept giving me an error saying to input my name and email when I had done both. I tried it twice, and got the same error.
Ooh now you’ve done it. Your name and email address have been harvested by an axe-murderer with a hook for a hand who drives a motorbike at night with no lights on…
