Nowadays, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is the backwards ballcap poster boy.

Maybe during a game; I usually see him wearing an ivy cap.

When I was a kid, a backwards baseball hat was the sign of a complete idiot. I was quite amazed when it became fashionable to wear them backwards.

When I was a kid, it was a sign you played catcher. I did, and I wore it backwards all the time for that reason. Got annoyed when people stole my look.
