Sorry we missed you, Mr. C. We were a group of 5 at two pushed-together tables at the back of the front room. We probably were one of the louder tables - I don’t think any of us there knew anyone else well, but it didn’t matter.

Sounds like Gundy’s first recommendation was a winner, and I trust y’all (Well, except for the Random guy, he’s got shifty eyes) to pick a good place. How do the rest of the dopers feel about the place?
Well, I lked it, but then I have very few opinions about bars, seeing as I only tend to hang out in them when there’s a band playing that I like. It wasn’t awfully smoky, which is my own primary concern, and it had nice woodwork.
Can’t say I noticed the woodwork, but I’ll take your word for it.
(and damn, I thought I had that shifty-eyed thing under control.)
So what happens now? Are we agreed on Black Rock? According to the bartender, the back room books up quickly.
