Multiple choice public poll (on the way)

Who stays undefeated?

All but UT, probably.

Assume that’s true and toss in the inactive Wisconsin. Would a playoff among these teams constitute a reasonable selection of a real National Champion?

If not, which team(s) would have to be there?

I voted for everyone but Texas and Texas Tech. And I expect the vast majority of these games won’t even be close.

Someone has to lose Texas/Oklahoma. And Texas Tech has a comparable opponent in A&M. I suppose LSU is at least playing a solid team in Florida… but the way LSU has been playing I expect LSU to dominate.

I think it is way too early to tell. Too many teams still haven’t played much (or at all) against quality opponents. And there are 24 1-loss AQ teams. I don’t think we have enough info yet to say which ones like Oregon (lost to LSU) or Arkansas (lost to Alabama) are great but had an off day vs another great team and which are merely good. I expect both of those to finish in the top 10 at the end of the year. I doubt most of the undefeated teams will finish in the top 10.

My alma mater is due for a big let down. Ga Tech is going to lose to Maryland.

From all appearances here, it would seem that Texas is going to thrash OU!
