After this week’s games there’s a reasonable chance that the undefeateds will be too few to deserve a separate poll and some of the one-loss group will have moved to two-loss status.
Those of you who have participated in the past few of these polls may want to express an opinion on what poll(s) we have for the remainder of the season.
Separate polls for a) undefeated, b) one-loss, c) two-loss
One poll for 0-, 1-, 2-loss teams
some other grouping(s)
Since setting a cut-off for the poll is done in days and not hours it’s frustrating to try to keep one open until first game time. Ideas for how to work around that issue?
Thanks to all of you who have been playing along with this venture.
A poll about 2-loss teams doesn’t interest me. I’d go to one poll next week if the number of undefeated and 1-loss teams is at (arbitrarily) 12 teams or fewer after this week.
I’m not a Husker fan, but I remain unimpressed with Michigan State. Now, Nebraska doesn’t do much for me, either, so I see the game as a crap shoot. But it’s at Nebraska, right?
Just out of curiosity do any of you have money riding on any of these games? I don’t and I never have gambled on football of any variety. I do like getting in on the freebie Pick’em things, but I never feel confident enough to put money where my mouth is.
Even when I have done my “best guess” Pick’em choices, I wind up pulling for the underdog in most games, unless it’s my “home team.” As often as not, I know that the underdog will lose, but I can’t resist hoping for them to win.
I’d still like more input/opinions on whatever poll(s) we use for the remaining weeks in the season. Right now it looks like “undefeated and one-loss” teams’ games until that group is down to a very few (or none at all).
It’s beginning to look like another BCS nightmare in the works, and there could either be too few or too many teams in the same boat for a “simple solution” to be available for the BCSCG to be an obvious choice.
