I’m sitting this one out since I began reading answers for some reason, but thought I’d comment on the answers for #9 a number of people have given:

Not only are Tab and Jolt still around as critter42 noted, so are Moxie, Nehi (and I just picked up 20 oz PET bottles of Peach, Grape, Strawberry, and Orange Nehi-- looks like the local Dr Pepper/7 Up bottler is relaunching it in my area), Squirt (with a line-up complete with a high-caffeine version), and Bubble-Up (this page also features a licensed version of Moxie, which is less bitter than the New England version). And, finally, according to Wikipedia, Coke II (the renamed version of New Coke) is still bottled in American Samoa. Good luck finding a way to order some, though.

Where I live, I see Squirt and its related brands all the time in the stores. In fact, I just had a glass of the stuff this evening so I was surprised to see it turn up among the “defunct” pop picks.

Also, as author of this this Feud, #7 refers to non-American carbonated beverages. Although sold globally, Coke shouldn’t count because it’s also sold in the U.S.

I love Diet Squirt, it’s more flavorful than Fresca.

The only Squirt that’s difficult to find around here is Ruby Red Squirt. The plain stuff, though, (as well as a number of other grapefruit-flavor brands, and even store-brands) has become easier to find over the years as the Hispanic population has grown in this area. Not sure how the high-caffeine version is doing.

(Ale-8-One) I don’t know if anyone else will have heard of this, but it’s very popular in Eastern Kentucky, and is solely manufactured in Winchester, Ky.

It’s also made by the Pepsi bottler in Corbin KY. For some reason, the Corbin stuff is what I find on trips to Louisville, while the Winchester stuff is what shows up in Indiana.

Actually, though “coke” is common for any soft drink, I grew up with non-alcoholic carbonated beverages being referred to as either “soft drink” or “soda”. Soda is my preferred term. Though I do get all cutesy with it at times and say “gimme a cold sody water!”
