It occurs that that might sound somewhat more confrontational than I intended.
So, I’ll add - yes, we’ll see, eventually. I still think my positions the better supported by the evidence at hand, but I’ll concede the point if it turns out I was wrong.
I’ll take your word for it…I’m only familiar with CLC’s WW from a single picture (although now that you mention it, the costume does match…), and the Linda Carter version is a very vague childhood memory.
Question about the JSA OYL…Isn’t Gentleman Ghost a REAL ghost? Wouldn’t the JSA be pretty open to this idea? Or is this some kind of continuity glitch that they will explain, doyathink?
Ok, I’m way behind, like every week. I like to savor my comic reading time and I like to spread it out, and I usually am not able to get to my LCS until Saturday. So, to contribute, I picked up All-Star Superman; Ultimate Spiderman, and Lucifer. Ultimate Spiderman was lame. How did the X-men get taken out? Lucifer was interesting. I’m curious to see where this is going. All-Star Superman was awesome. Some questions:
Samson and Atlas were really in canon? How were those stories? How strong were they to a regular Superman?
Oh, and lastly a question about this week: my LCS sold out of the OMAC tie-in. Is that any good, or is Tengu alone in his observation. I never followed that part of the story. Does it explain it well?

Eh. The people in the DCU whose worldviews ghosts won’t fit into are very good at explaining away their existance, without ever acknowledging that they exist. Mr Terrific explains away the supernatural experiences he’s had while talking to Ragman. Batman has stated at least once, despite knowing Deadman, that ghosts don’t exist.
Given that 3 of the men in that room are scientists (Dr Mid-nite, Flash and Mr Terriffic), and Lantern’s an engineer, I can see them being in this group.
The special is pretty good. Amanda Waller gets a big role. It’s also a follow-up to a major development in Infinite Crisis 6, so definitely read that first.
mazinger_z, I get books shipped every other week, so I’m usually 1-3 weeks behind right there. Throw in my slow reading rate, and I end up way, way behind. My favorites, Infinity Crisis, both JSA, both JLA, both Avengers and of course, the LSH, I read as soon as possible (though still behind these threads).
In the past week, I’ve read: Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk 1 & 2: That was brutal on Hulk’s part. I’m interested on how Logan is going to reconnect. Soldering iron?
Ultimate Extinction: If you are re-imagining old characters, please, please, please ditch the surfboard! And Rick Jones!
Squadron Supreme: It really is time to do something. Take a clue from…
Invincible: Great fun (although I’m always an issue behind).
Nodwick and PS 238: I love it when comics are truly comic.
Planetary Brigade: some stale jokes, but you can tell Giffen and DeMatteis have fun writing them, which makes it fun to read.
On my plate for the remainder of the week include: Ares miniseries 1-3 Annihilation prologue She-Hulk catch-up Doc Sampson 2-3 mini-series

But Hawkman knows he’s a real ghost. Wouldn’t he tell them? I’m not intending to harp on this point, it just kind of jumped out at me.
That’s actually a pet peve of mine also. Gamera’s box contained a summary of Inf Cri 6. I suppose you could infer that from post #2, but a little overcaution never hurt nobody.
While I’m here: JSA #84: Ghost or no Gentleman Ghost shouldn’t be able to pwn the Society that hard and on their home turf. They must be really out of practice.
Picking up Firestorm tomorrow and I also saw that my LCS has a bunch of Invicible TPBs. Maybe later, but definitely eventually.
Well, the way they’ve been talking - specifically Court and Alan, last issue - they haven’t seen any action lately. Guess chess and college preparation aren’t very good practive for ghost-fighting.
Tony fights Mallen and kills him by crushing his head. Ick. Dum dum dum… it was all a set-up by Maya Henson. Tony has her arrested and gets all self-righteous, proclaiming, “I’m going to be able to look myself in the mirror tomorrow.” OH RLY, Tony? Even though like twenty minutes ago you just crushed some dude’s skull? The art by Granov is pretty but static. A snoozer.
I still wish wish wish that Crisis was lasting longer. They have like, two years of build up and crossovers, four entire miniseries (with specials!) that are really only tangentially related to the main conflict, and then an ongoing weekly book… But the series itself is so crammed and compressed into its 7 issues that it kind of steals any feeling of these events being grand and important in the DC universe. The events have no room to breathe, with few expansive panels except at the ends of each issue. Countless characters that people care about are killed or have major events in their lives BUTTHENWEMUSTRUSHONTOSOMETHINGELSEASAP! If they can really pull off a weekly, why not have IC run at least bi-weekly during its run instead of crammed into 7 rushed issues?
