Folks are already working on a plan to rejuvenate him. Americans are forgiving. Personally, I think he’s cooked, if not as much as John Edwards. When Larry Flynt offers you a job, you know you have struck bottom. Wonder if the Flynt offer was for in front of the camera.
Still, the people of his area tend to support him based on current polls. A fresh start may be possible.
It is this part that frustrates me. If the polls for his district show him having support, why did he resign? One problem, among many, I see in Congress is the constant need to satisfy party interests or work the national angle. But as a member of the House, one represents a defined population and shouldn’t their interests have been more important than the news media needing to flog the latest scandal for their own ratings driven urges?
I would like to see the actual poll numbers, but there is no way I am searching the internet for “weiner poll”.
