Some years back, there was an artist who created this figure. Kind of this grotesque, big headed figure that vaguely resembled a man. The figure was pink, weak looking, puny arms, big distended belly and a wide mouth.
The artist placed the realistic looking abomination in scenes with attractive humans. The overall feel of the work was that this thing represented a vulnerable beta type male in social situations. The artists made the situations very purposefully awkward, including scenes where the weird thing was in bed with several humans and appeared to be trying to be romantic with a woman? It’s getting fuzzy for me now. I can’t recall.
I think we may have discussed it here though. I was posting here heavily at the time. I also seem to recall that this artist did a famous work with realistic pigs feeding, but I may be mixing things up.
Anyone have any idea what I’m rambling about? I recall these being pretty popular online at the time, but I can’t find it now, and I really need the pics.
I know exactly the artwork you’re talking about, and it’s 100% what the OP is looking for, and I can’t find the right search terms to make google show me a picture.
On the bright side, having spent the last fifteen minutes doing searches on variations of “creepy humanoid modern art statue,” I’m never going to sleep again. So I’ve got a lot more spare time on my hands now.
