Nope, seems to be fine for me. I use Bypass Paywalls, which is not available on the Chrome store, but only on Github. The thing I like about it is that there is an option to add new sites not on the list. It seems to utilize Google’s caches for that.
Bypass Paywalls is the one I use, for Mac, running Big Sur. For whatever reason, that extension crashes my ability to post that link.
ETA: Re-enabled it and the problem came back. Disabled it, and all is fine.
Maybe it’s a particular browser/extension combination (for Mac OS) on this site, not just the extension itself.
Could even be some idiosyncratic quirk with something else on my computer, for all I know. At any rate – I know what to do to get it work when I need it to now, so that’s plenty good enough for me, even if I’m not sure technically what the exact problem is.
