I’ve heard of the “Soggy SAO” game (SAO’s are a brand of savoury cracker biscuit in Australia) but haven’t ever met anybody who admitted playing it. It was always one of those friend-of-a-friend told me things.
However, the guys I grew up with did do some disgusting things. I know they did have a circle jerk, and I have seen them masturbating in the same room. Some guys wouldn’t dream of doing it in front of others, other guys seem to feel it is cool. So, it does happen. Whether or not it happened in the OP, who knows ? It’s also the sort of thing guys say to either test the girls reaction, or to gross them out. But it does happen.

But when I saw the tread again with the last post by GOO I just couldn’t let that slide.
The only thing I’ve ever heard of that was close to this was the ‘circle jerk’. This is a cruel trick where a victim is invited to join a circle of ‘cool’ guys who are going to jerk off with the lights out.
After a short time the lights come on, the victim is the only guy doing it and hilarity ensues.
Of course nobody actually did a circle jerk I just heard about them.
I do believe stuff like this goes on.
I’ve never been in one of those contests myself, but when I was in the service, 10 years ago, a buddy mentioned that he had
regularly participated in such contests.
I’ve heard of this as a pretty standard guy thing. Typically straight guy, in fact. Especially among teenagers.
I was never invited to one, unfortunately.
Never took part in a round pound. Never would.

Zebra, what you are describing as a circle jerk is different from what I understand a circle jerk to be. Perhaps the name is the same, but the activity varies a little from place to place ?
The closest thing to this I’ve ever actually witnessed was a pissing contest in the locker room at school . . . which I was just a witness . . . honestly . . . the other guy started it . . .
You know, back when I was a teenager, we sat around watching porn, but had any of us suggested (even jokingly) what the OP is talking about, the rest of us would have given him a sound thrashing and then spread the word around school about it. All I have to say about it is: Yeech! You couldn’t pay me enough to do that.

Dude, that bad was rad, especially live and especially in LA. But as of the OP, I’ve heard of this stuff but neither myself nor any of my friends have ever seen/participated. I don’t doubt that some groups of guys might do this, but it is not a widespread practice.
Closest thing I have heard of was from a friend who was in the Navy. They would sit around in the rec room masturbating to porn with towels over their laps. It wasn’t a competition thing, it’s just the only place where they could watch porn and they took measures to maintain some kind of modesty (the towels).
I’ve heard of worse things, but not from anyone who claimed to have participated in them.
We used to do this all the time when I was at school. A few friends and I would hop the wall to one of our houses, slam some porn in and see if we could cum before the end of break. I think circle jerks and such only exist in old National Lampoon stories. I have never had the desire to share that much with my buddies.
The only time I’ve heard of such a thing was when I was a volunteer summer camp counselor for one season. The camp director was speaking to his staff during orientation and mentioned that he caught a group of pubescent boys having such a contest one previous summer. IMO, the only men who would masturbate in open view of anyone are either immature, ape-like, or have some sort of mental disorder.
I remember when I had a sex ed class in high school. The topic of masturbation was being covered, and over and over they said “It’s perfectly normal for young men to masturbate together and even have contests.” Now I won’t argue whether or not it’s normal, but neither I nor anyone I’ve ever known did this or knew of anyone who did. I figured it must be common enough to merit so much mention in the class but I’ve never encountered anyone who did it.
