I usually do the same, even on business trips. I have issues with gluten, and while I know my home airport well enough to know I can get something on the way out, I don’t know connecting airports or the airport I’ll leave from. I’ve also been stuck on some horrible flights - leaving at 6:00am and boarding before Starbucks opens. Pulling in at 11:30 at night, long after everything has closed. And spent time with delayed flights in not overly large airports (I can’t recommend six hours in Oklahoma City). And I’ve had those days on business trips where you INTEND to eat, but you never actually manage to do it. Carrying food is a survival instinct when traveling.
Just don’t attempt bring your favorite block of cheese or block of hard chocolate, though. Unless you want TSA to go all hardcase on you.
Not strange at all. If you would enjoy what you pack more than anything you can buy at the airport, it makes perfect sense.
What’s weird is that your husband calls you by your screen name. He isn’t a virtual husband, is he?
