It just seems to me to be deeply hypocritical to wish hideous, long drawn out death on this man because he isn’t compassionate enough. But maybe that’s just me.
That said, the laryngitis thing is funny and I don’t think I’m the only one hoping for an airplane full of piano’s to have a slight…mishap.
I also want to make it clear (because I didn’t in my OP and I should have) that this thread wasn’t intended as a means to call out Weirddave specifically. I’ve got no personal beef with him and was just using his quote to highlight what I feel to be a distasteful trend in this forum as a whole, perpetrated by more than a few dopers.
I would find it satisfyingly ironic if Fred were to contract AIDS.

I have to say that I will not shed a tear whe Fred dies and if it is a long, lonely, miserable, painful death it will definitely be a form of justice.
And still I would not shed a tear. I don’t have an ounce of sympathy for him.
I watched and cared for my aunt Cathy as she died of cancer! So if you think that calling me names will change my mind, sugarplum, you’ve got another thing coming.
