I think the difficulty in getting opening weekend tickets for endgame played a big part in that. Half the people I know couldn’t go see it, every single person I know that watches GoT was glued to their screen at 9pm on sunday.
By the way, I hoped that they wouldn’t make this character hook up with this other character. I though we had been having enough cheesy moments as it was already and I thought it would be out of character. But finally, I didn’t mind the scene. It seemed, in fact, pretty much in character contrarily to what I expected.
Also, when I think of it, absolutely nothing was shown on screen in this scene, except for one of the characters naked back. It’s simply the concept that this character would have sex that bothered people.
I still pray that we’ll be spared Brienne/Tormund, another fan’s dream.

Yet the fact that she’s become a homicidal psychopath who’s killed dozens of people in cold blood is less shocking than her having sex.
It was a little bit more than that, but not much.
You see the side of one of her bare breasts, and most of her bare butt. But that demonstrates that her body (like that of Maisie Williams) is definitely not childlike.
