Well I can't argue with that logic!

As a hard scientist who is driving himself insane trying to collect, y’know, data, so I can finish my PhD, I find myself really quite offended that people have long, stable, lucrative academic careers writing about bullshit like this.

Humanities’ academia has trolling too. In fact, it has a fair amount. If I were a feminist theologian academic wanting to get attention, I’d write stuff like that too.

Yeah, I was a doubting Thomas, too.

Smell my finger!

Isn’t Jesus also suing Google Streetview for showing him urinating out front of his workshop, or something?

I’m going to write an article about how maybe he had three nipples and an outie and see if I can get it published.

There’s also know way we can know for sure that Jesus wasn’t actually two midgets, one standing on the other’s shoulders, wearing a single robe to look like one tall guy.

One of the arguments for not allowing women to be priests is that Jesus was a man. There’s also a quote from Epistles to Timothy about making sure that women don’t teach men or have authority over them but rather listen in silence.

I think she wants to undermine the first argument about Jesus having been a man. “We can’t be sure Jesus was a man without a body so, even though everything points to it, we cannot just accept that he was. Ergo, we can’t forbid women from being priests on account of Jesus having been a man.” Which is a rather skeptical attitude coming from a theologian.

Muppet Jesus!

I kind of want to read her paper, if only to find out exactly what her point is.

I’d intended to go with Wheelz’ theory, but now I’m not sure. Very tough call.

Why does everyone try to confuse me with pseudo-facts?

If they would have just moved his damn hands out of the way before they covered him with that shroud we wouldn’t have to speculate about this.

It states quite clearly in some book or other that Jesus was the son of a carpenter. Not the daughter of a carpenter. And, for that matter, not even a carpenter himself.

Therefore it is 100% evident to me that he is as real and as masculine as Robin Hood, as King Arthur, and as Santa Claus.

Oh, I guess you haven’t heard…

So that’s what the H stands for…

That’s very un-PC. If Jesus gender-identified as male then he was male.

Jesus Fucking Christ.

There are so many jokes you could be aiming for here. I’d like to know which it was.
