At least you’re not moving to Cincinnati, OH… whimpers
Hey, vunderbob, I think you can call MeanJoe an Ohioan and he’d take it as a compliment. Not sure what Priam is on about. If you were in Cincinnati at least you’d have Rue and me to kick around. And there’s the snow (at least today).
You big poopyhead.
You’ll be 380 miles away from where I’ll be living.
[sub]good luck anyway, I guess[/sub]
Yay! Welcome to Ohio!
I’m on the other side of that river from you, ya darn buckeye! Comin’ over here an’ clogging up our roads with yer horrible drivin’ and snooty big-city ways! Why if we weren’t so polite and suburban, I’d come over there and give ya a good piece of my mind!
(Oh and Vote To Repeal Article XII!)
Hey now, no need to get insulting there. Especially considering you are in Cincy of all places!
Besides, I’m not saying they are good things. Just trying to help a guy blend in a little bit. Us transplants to Ohio got to help each other out with local customs and such.
MeanJoe - Not an Ohio native but has drank enough of the kool-aid to appear converted and thereby avoid the rabid native’s scorn.
Shoot, another MAD is deserting us. And no more MountainDopes, either!
Good luck, JC!
So there’s gonna be a last-ditch, blowout, going away party, right?
Priam, are you in Kentucky or Indiana? What part? And what is Article XII? Neither Rue nor I are in Cincinnati, proper, but FisherQueen is, I think, so take it up with her. And for the last time, I’m not a Buckeye. I just move around a lot and keep ending up here for some darned reason.
Oh yeah: Once you’re up there, go find some decent Cincinatti-style chili. You’ll never want to eat any other kind again.
I didn’t say Ohio was bad, just that as a former Hoosier it was my right and responsibility to pick on y’all.
Besides, all my good material is about Kentucky…
Dude, I looked at the map. That’s not Ohio, that’s West Virgina on the other side of the river.
Yeah, the map is wrong. We’ll be in Ohio on the river.
We’re looking at a place on the Muskingam River.
Take a look. It’s MLS# 207970. Tell me what you think.
And you college boys?
I did my grad school at the University of Iowa.
GO HAWKEYES!!!
Sheesh, is that the most expensive place in town? 5 Beds, 2 baths, under $150k. I don’t know what the prices are out in your neck, but it’s got to be a bargain for that place. I’d take it.
No, there are more expensive places. But that’s pretty good.
Hell, some of the 4 bedroom places we’re looking at are under 100K.
Fear me.
Welcome to the Buckeye State. A few more things before you get here.
Only in Ohio do you have to use the heat and the AC both on the car in a single day.
The 4 Seasons in Ohio are as follows, Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter and Road Construction.
A great vacation consists of visiting Kings Island, Cedar Point and Six Flags in one Construction season.
The State Motto, is “Construction ahead, expect long delays”
The Stare tree is not the buckeye, but can only be decribed as bright orange in colour, the words vary, and it grows frequenly near construction sites. Breeds such as “left lane closed ahead’ and 'Fines doubled”.
And lastly, Friends don’t let friends drive in Michigan.
So when is this happening, JC? Do we have time to give you a rousing sendoff?
Hey, welcome to the Buckeye State! Enjoy your stay here, watch the step, and tip your waitresses!
I’m in the VERY VERY VERY northern part of Kentucky. I can literally walk up my hill and see all of the skyline of Cincinnati(which is very pretty and great for fireworks-watching). You’re a buckeye for constantly returning to Ohio, so don’t try to worm your way out of it.
And Article XII is an amendment to the city charter of Cincinnati which bans the passage of any anti-discrimination laws which include sexual orientation as a protected class. Its really preposterous, offensive, and is hurting the city big time economically. See Citizens to Restore Fairness, the people trying to repeal the amendment, for more info on it. (There! Got my plug in for said group.)
How much you selling for? Yes, this is a serious question.
