Last year, I was struck by a car, while riding my bicycle.

Well, they never provided insurance info, never paid for the bike, & got all shirty in my lawyer’s office.

So today, we go to the Bar Of Law.

This is new for me. Court in session at 9AM. First onna docket.

Over in 5 minutes.

I won by default.

This guy didn’t show up in court.

And my lawyer says it’s iffy that we’ll ever collect anything. :frowning:

I got turned back at the courthouse door. I forgot I was carrying my Swiss Army knife. :smack:
As I hadn’t eaten beforehand, I treated myself to a pancake breakfast at Cracker Barrel.

Which is meaningless if he can’t collect. That dirtbag can string this out forever and you can’t collect if he doesn’t have anything anyway.

It sucks that the guy isn’t human enough to pay for the problems that he caused.

Do you know where he lives? If so, go through his trash, get his bank account number, and have your lawyer file a “writ of garnishment”. Don’t release the account until he’s satisfied the judgment and paid the lawyer’s fee and filing cost for the writ.
