Well now, I did NOT know that!!!

Um, apparently if you delete a picture from your cell phone, it doesn’t actually go away.

I had a problem with my Centro and had to change phones to my sister’s old Katana. While learning how to use it, I looked in the pics to see if any of my sister’s old pics were still there. Well, there’s a menu for Online Albums.

Not thinking anything of it, after all, I’ve never sent anything “questionable” to the online world, I selected that option.

Wow. I did NOT know those pics were in there. I thought I deleted them! What exactly does “Online Album” mean? Does this mean that there’s a collection of my pictures floating around cyberspace? Does it mean they get saved on Sprint’s account page (meaning my sister can access them?)

Needless to say, all but three of those pics were deleted from the online album. The other three were saved into the new phone.

I sent my sister an e-mail at work, letting her know what I found.

This is what she said,

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA, THAT’S MESSED UP. UH OH, CRAP. BETTER CHECK MINE OUT.”

Every photo you send via your phone, a copy is kept on the company servers. (and you though cheep memory was just a good thing)

So, what kind of pictures are we talking about here?

Cite? Not all phone providers give you the ability to access your photos, so why would they save them?

Or are you only talking about the OP’s photos?

Oh come on now, I’m sure your imagination can work that one out all on its own.

I found the photos online. I had to make up a username and password to get at them.

Much more deleting was to be had.

I hope that was the last place.
