"We'll See!"

We’re seeing!

As the article notes:

But what it often really means is: “I have no idea.”

I hope that someone at the AP or the Daily Show or Young Turks or someone (anyone!) is keeping track now of the number of times that Trump says “we’ll see” during his term in office. I’d also love a monthly/weekly/daily breakdown. That would be a hoot!

“We’ll see” along with “in the next two weeks.”

“In the next two weeks” appears to be analogous to the biblical “40 days”; it means “a long time, don’t know how long.”

Now, why do I have this urge to download a Melville novel on to my tablet?

Yeah, that’s no shit. Our Moron Dipshit in chief says “we’ll see” or “you’ll see” a lot. The bastard dosen’t have a clue. He’s like his supporters that way.

What immediately came to mind, and one of the more egregious examples IMO, is when Olberman referenced “We’ll see what happens to her” and “Let’s see what happens”

The first phrase is at 4:36, and the second at 6:46, but keep in mind I started each link about 15 seconds early, to set up full context for the eventual phrases.

‘We’ll see’

Tell your boss that and see what the response is. Good luck trying it a second time.

The good news is that 45 has not been able to keep any of his idiotic campaign promises.

Trump is a moron. This we know.

Trump is now confronted with the fact that people like Kim Jung Un and Vladimir Putin aren’t like some of the naive contractors he stiffed. He’s a rookie league player playing in the major leagues of politics. They’re clearly his superior when it comes to a battle of wit and political calculation. As has been already said: “We’ll see” means “I have no idea”.

What’s terrifying is that he’s increasingly aware of this fact and he realizes that he looks like a complete and utter clueless dipshit, and he knows that people are probably laughing at him behind his back even if they aren’t laughing in his face. It’s terrifying because he’s a pathological narcissist and still does have absolute authority to unleash the demons of the all-mighty American military at the slightest bit of provocation. He obviously wouldn’t try that with Russia as the reaction would be mutually assured annihilation, but he just might be delusional to think he could crush North Korea without regard for the consequences to what happens on the other side of the globe.

as I said to someone the other day, the biggest problem with Trump – whether you agree with his policies and what passes for his philosophy or not – is that the man spreads uncertainty wherever he goes. “We’ll see” isn’t only his favorite saying, it’s the core of the problem with him.
Wall Street and businesses and frequently Congress HATE uncertainty. it screws up your attempts to make definite future plans. It makes people hang onto money they would otherwise spend. It causes people to delay actions and decisions that, in a cascading domino effect, causes other people and institutions to delay their actions, bringing gridlock and further uncertainty and unnecessary price increases.

Some uncertainty is unavoidable. Some is politically desirable from time to time for negotiating purposes and the like. But Trump does it all the time, and frequently to no purpose.

Not to worry. He blocks this out and pretends it doesn’t exist. As long as FOX news is constantly soft-soaping him and his aides only report positive, simple-to-read news bytes that mention his name, he has no reason to think he looks like a complete and utter dipshit. It’s everybody else’s fault, not his.

At least “we’ll see” is better than him answering by reminiscing about the election.

“We’ll see” also feeds his narcissism by turning every decision into “Turn in next week to the Trump show for the resolution to this cliff hanger!”

Bingo! A total lack of leadership.

The man simply has no clue what to say in any situation.

When asked what he’d like to say to the residents of Texas as Harvey was barreling toward them? “Good luck.”
When doing a photo op at a shelter in Texas, loading supplies into a pickup truck, he tells the driver “Have a good time,” and said “That was good exercise” afterward.

This is what happens to a person who, after 70+ years of being told he is superior to everyone else, and has everything he could have ever wanted handed to him on a tacky golden platter, has never had to learn how to effectively interact with other human beings. For his whole life, everything he has ever said has been appropriate and fine; no one’s ever said to him, “Nope, that’s not appropriate,” or “Maybe in this situation you could say…”

Now that he’s on a world stage doing a job that every previous person that held this job spent decades studying and preparing for, he’s exposed as a anti-social doofus with no clue on how to properly communicate as the leader of the free world…or even as a normal human being.

I daresay, most Americans could have answered the question, “What do you say to the Texans facing the destruction of Hurricane Harvey?” better than this clown. Just cobble together a combination of one or more of these phrases: “Praying for them,” “Do whatever we can,” and “We’ll work together with local and state authorities.”

“We’ll see” might be a fine answer when you’re dealing with flunkies and yes-men at your scumbag family-owned business, it’s not when you’re the fucking POTUS. But he’s only ever had to deal with flunkies, yes-men and people he’s working to get rich off of. Although I suppose the American people all fall into that last category.

“We’ll see” is the response I give my grandkids when they want to do something I have no intention of doing.

“Can we go to the park?”
“We’ll see.”

“Can we make cookies?”
“We’ll see.”

Yeah, Trump has no intention of doing any of the things he says “We’ll see” about.
