Well, the Internet was nice while it lasted.

Maybe a 5’7" swede?

I see not these ads of which you speak.

Running FF with ABP.

Can’t say as i have them either. Running a mac with firefox and adblocker.

Except the Dope!

I’m not clear on where the OP saw the ad, was it in Photobucket?
That site got really annoying with the adds as of late, which is completely counter productive; I didn’t mind the ads before, but last month I opened my Photobucket page and there where three animated, “interactive” Flash ads on the page, one more of an eyesore than the other, and say “Ohhhh fuck it!” and blocked all ad feeds from Photobucket. Result, I’m no longer seen ads and Photobucket doesn’t get any money from that. Talk about killing the Golden Goose.

Yeah…that was kind of the joke.

[Boomhauer]Yeah man, I tell ya what, man, that dang ol’ internet, man, you just go in on there and point and click, talk about w-w-dot-w-com, mean you got nekkid chicks on there, man, just go click, click, click, click, click, it’s real easy, man.[/Boomhauer]

That was in 1997 or so though. How long have you been tuned into this newfangled web channel? I have been around for a while and it used to be much worse in the 90’s. You could would around work and 25% of the screens would be filled with porn popups that you could only stop by hitting the emergency power cutoff to the entire building and sometimes not even then. The web was really aggressive and untamed back then and we didn’t have tools to deal with it but we liked it that way. Today’s intrusions are so mild it makes me want to smirk at anyone that thinks otherwise. You have it so easy you don’t even know the half of it. Take a look at the software you are running too. I don’t see any of that stuff and it is easy to guard against.

The photobucket link just points to a screenshot I made of the ads on another page. I didn’t see any of the ads today, they seem to have vanished as mysteriously as they appeared.

Oh. Sorry, my joke filter doesn’t usually boot up before 10AM.
