Went down to add calcite to the acid neutralizer tanks in the basement. These are one year old. The prior had a top fill opening with threaded plug. These do not, which means I have to figure out how to take off the top piece. I do not want to mess this up so I am looking for instructions on how to do this, or even better a youtube video. The fiberglass tank seems standard and the top meter and valve is pentair with led (rather than mechanical). And why would the tanks not have a top fill valve, it seems the only reason not to is to make it harder to service without help.
It sounds like these were replaced recently. Was there any documentation with them like an O&M manual? If not, is there a manufacturer and model number on the tanks? You should be able to download the manual from the manufacturer.
