Our new kitchen arrives next Thursday, as does the plumber and the electrician…thanks to dopers who offered suggestions on what to look for in the design, we are anticipating a successful completion!
So far, we have, in no particular order: ripped up three layers of flooring, torn out old cupboards, with the exception of the sink which is currently being supported by four square feet of counter and two spindles which will all come out when new ones arrive, drywalled, plastered, painted, laid new floor base which will be covered with new vinyl floor Monday, sanded and painted the ceiling (yuck), installed new electrical plugs. The old drawers are still filled and are sitting in the living room so if you need a fork, it’s on the couch!
It’s stressful and messy but it’s GOING TO BE WORTH IT!!! If I had any idea how to do it, I would post before and after pictures.
So, next friday night, everyone raise a glass to our new kitchen!
