What “left wing” positions do they have ? They are only liberals in right wing fantasy; by the Republican leadership’s present standards, anything short of fascism is far left.
Given the nature of the Taliban, it’s arguable that we’ve bombrd Afghanistan OUT of the stone age, or perhaps FORWARD to it. With all that destroying of ancient monuments, they don’t seem very fond of stone, or anything more recent.
