Well, I’d reply, except that my “long” runs are only 5 miles. And I do my long days on Monday. Rest of the week, it’s 4 miles, then 3 miles Saturday and Sunday. And all that’s on a treadmill. I just hate running outside, something about not knowing how far I’ve gone just irks me. Probably because I hate running with a passion.
Heck, it’s supposed to get up to 40 today, 60 by the weekend. That sounds almost too warm after the past few months. I had a bottom limit of 15 - 20 if it was cloudy and/or windy.
I was toying with ramping up my mileage with an eye on the October Chicago marathon. But I think I will do it slowly over 2 years instead.
Dinsdale, I would love to run Chicago as well. Unfortunately it happens to fall during the busiest time for me at work, so taking time off to travel to it is dicey at best.
January races seem to work best for me. Slow time at work. I’m thinking about maybe running the new Rock & Roll in Arizona, or maybe something in Southern California.
But I’m staying away from your freaky snow and ice bound climes at that time of year!!!
