I do believe everyone in this thread was advocating ignoring them. I know I was. I don’t believe anyone indicated a willingness to use force against them. I mean, it just didn’t happen. What are you talking about?
It seems like you have some point to make. It might be easier if you just came out with it, rather than being cryptic.
… but just think how satisfying it would feel to see these scumbags choking down thick, choking black diesel exhaust, and have them reeking of diesel for the rest of the day…
WBC should be subjected to sooty black diesel exhaust constantly…
Forgive me if I was unclear. Fantasies about hurting people can become horrible realities.
That was ONE poster, who was told ignoring the WBC is the better way. Did you read that one post and somehow decide it characterized the entire thread?
Shh, you’ll ruin the narrative of the Dope being full of angry libruls looking to harm anyone that doesn’t agree with them. Hell, we’re almost to the Antifa Terrorist Attack already!
They don’t picket St. Patrick’s. As the parade passes the cathedral, they’re on or near the front steps, with their backs to the cathedral, facing the parade. Or sometimes they’re across the street. I think the police decide their actual location.
Of course, this year’s parade didn’t even pass along that part of Fifth Avenue, so I have no idea where they were.
That seems to be crossing into scrupulosity to me. That’s the OCD thing where you feel guilty for the mere thought of doing something wrong. If you know it’s wrong and would never do it (which is what the poster said), then it isn’t wrong at all. It’s just being human.
Imagining something bad happening to bad people is common and not a cause of concern.
One is a remarkable number. It is its own square root, factorial, square, cube etc. As such Paul is correct, in that a remarkable number of dopers exhibits the behavior he believes show they are eager and willing to use force against religious groups they do not approve of.
Of course not in evidence are:
-Dreaming of making people smell like diesel being equal to being eager and willing to use force.
-The reason for dreaming such is their membership of a church, rather than the (deliberately provocative) hateful messages they display.
Zero also being a remarkable number, his statement is still factually correct, just not particularly useful.
I think it’s fair game to go after “religious groups” whose regular conduct is akin to wiping their asses with pages out of the Bible. That is, every page except the one containing Leviticus 18:22.
