She can’t be serious.
Do you mean this parade, in this year, was never intended to go past St. Patrick’s? Because at least through 1995 (the last year I was in NYC), it ALWAYS went past there.
I was only using the term she uses for other people’s out-of-wedlock children. What’s wrong with that?
Surely that made me laugh.
Lest you think I started this thread out of hostility towards organized religion, or Christianity, I was at St. Pat’s that morning to attend Mass.
As I do pretty much every Sunday.
No, not at all. (I hate it that when I type sincere words, people think I am being sarcastic.) Must be cool to have that building as your parish.
Didn’t Kathy Phelps commit suicide? Or was it an overdose?
So you don’t care if you’re just like her? You said:
Implying they should go to hell, because of who their mother is. THAT’S what’s wrong with that.
If any of her offspring are still with the church as adults, picketting and acting like assholes then yeah, fuck them. But if they’ve left, or if they’re still children, then that’s fucked up. I’d be willing to bet that some of those kids are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. At least one of his sons was diagnosed with PTSD, I think.
I have a solution, but I doubt you’re going to like it.
Yes, its actually the way they keep their cult together.
The main philosophy of the cult is that the world is a hateful place and love can only be found within the confines of the cult. The more the world hates them, the more their world view is justified, and the more they bond with the church. The more you scream yell and harass them the better they feel. Getting people mad at them isn’t just a side effect of their ministry its the entire point.
It’s kind of a Westboro Baptist thing, I hear.
The difference is that they take it to the next step and cause psychological harm.
They were out in force at 10th and Gage today, here in Topeka. Just like old times, it was the first major intersection they picketed, as it has so much traffic.
Please, go on.
