What a total waste of time

http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/education/newsid_1529000/1529754.stm

Let’s see if my math is correct:

1,000,000 schoolchildren x 1 minute

1,000,000 minutes/60=16,666 hours

16,666/24=694 days

694/365=1.9

1.9 total years of valuable school time wasted.

Results?

ZERO

GOOD JOB, BRITS!!

Lets not make this a “your country is so stupid” thing, eh? It is at least encouraging the kids to think about science as something they could participate in and have fun with.

I agree with Francesca. This was cool, and schools should come up with more participatory learning stuff.

The problem in this instance, of course, is that the chairs aren’t of uniform height.

Your math is incorrect. Perhaps 1.9 mythical “man-years” went into this project, but even if it was a waste, each child lost a minute.

Well, Vinnie lately your threads have been bombasted.
First, the parking space thread and now this one. Actually, I was on your side the parking spaces, but decided it was wiser to stay out of it. Keep trying, the third time is a charm or so they say.
