The whole country has been so preoccupied with Trump’s efforts to cheat his way back into office, that we’ve completely forgotten what used to worry us - falsifying election results by hacking or manipulating the results generated by the software. Have our collective eyes been taken off the ball by Trump’s brilliant 6-D chess game?
As we have been constantly reminded throughout the Trump presidency, Americans have very short memories, and a propensity to “move on”. Once an issue has been pushed through the overheated media meat grinder - even if unresolved! (especially if unresolved!) - we no longer care. Sure, many thoughtful people like yourself will chime in once and a while with “but, we never really fixed this…”, whereas the rest just continue to whistle past the graveyard.
I know that statement isn’t really helpful, just acknowledging and decrying the phenomenon.
It’s not the voters, but the guy that counts the votes, that has the real power. Always has been that way, sorry to say. Even with paper ballots.
Answering my own question, I guess it’s the Pubbies who are now worried about this…
Preventing votes is still the most serious problem by far.
Problem to some, solution to others.
