What (alcoholic) drinks might I like?

Black Velvet: Guinness and sparkling white wine. Champagne for a true fancy pants

How in the world do you mix that?

Champagne in first, slowly pour stour over. Quaff!

A fuzzy navel ---- 1 part Peach Schnapps, 1 part vodka, 4 parts orange juice, over ice.

When I was googling up the recipe, I saw several that had lemonade. That just seems wrong.

Anyone still drink sloe gin fizzes? Or hurricanes?

A sloe gin fizz has sloe gin, sweet and sour mix and club soda. Sweet and tart. Hurricanes are definitely a fruity drink made with rum, lime juice and passionfruit syrup.

I’m not much of a sweet drink person, so when I drink something sweet / fruity, generally it’s a greyhound (gin) or screwdriver.

Oh yeah, if you like sweet but not fruity and it’s winter where you are, try a Captain Morgan brownie. Hot chocolate with a shot each of Captain Morgan spiced rum and creme de cacao and topped with either marshmallows or whipped cream.

In the same vein, hot chocolate is good with any number of liquers: peppermint schnapps, kahlua, creme de menthe, Bailey’s or amaretto. Then there’s spiked coffee. You can go with traditional Irish coffee, coffee with spiced (or just dark) rum or most of the liquers good in hot chocolate.

In the summer, iced tea with almost any kind of schnapps or amaretto to sweeten it is refreshing.

You might like caipirinhas caipirinhas (not all bartenders can make them - but if you find one, tip them well) or a daiquiri on the rocks.

Hemmingway drank daiquiris.
