What on earth is meant by this? Did he literally make tadpoles on toast? That’s…disgusting.

Hey, they’re kids, it’s certainly possible. The question is, did he eat them? That was a pretty plum job, after all.

Per this newspaper article it looks like it might have been - the French teacher apparently told them that frog legs were yummy, so perhaps they were “inspired.”
