What are temporary internet files?

You can set a limit on the size of your cache. In IE, for example, go to Tools > Internet Options > General tab. Then click the Settings button under “Temporary Internet Files”.

It’s not only the cache. There are a number of folders with apparently random names (say, Js4dhs7) that aren’t cleaned when I clean the cache. Actually if I click on the folders directly, no files appear, but they’re still quite big. I can open them with “search files/folders” and they include hundreds or even, if I wait too long, thousands of small files, like icons, pictures, etc… So, I have to delete them separately, apart from cleaning the cache.

I would recommend you get CleanMOCache 3.0.

These are good reasons to clean the TIFs, history and cache. I don’t have a shred of porn on my PC, but I like knowing it’s running as clean as possible. I use the freeware Cache Cleaner 1.26.218, plus Privacy Guardian, the latter of which gets tons of stuff that CC doesn’t.
