I have one that says “You can’t spell Trojan without OJ”.
At Nebraska, it was Colorado saying they were our rival, only Nebraskans didn’t think they were. It was like that little guy who says “Can I be your friend, can I? Can I please?”
Our rivalry was Nebraska-Oklahoma and many people were upset when the Big XII split that.
and OU has a border rivalry with Texas and in-state rivalry with Okie State.
And I said Army-Navy were the most important schools. Our national security in the hands of these two schools.
Well, I’m an intelligent alum and I’d be more that happy to see Bowden and Paterno both go out at the end of this year. Neither one will leave without the other leaving.
Pft. Listing number 1 for the Big Game: Cal/Stanford.
I don’t care about college sports at all, but I always try to watch that to cheer Cal. (I refuse to support anything in Palo Alto.) (I mean, seriously, have you been there?)
lol
I meant the idiot alums who keep paying Bobby.
Paterno can still coach; he’s still in it and into it, mentally. He’s still got it. Bobby’s been doing his impersonation of a coach with Alzheimer’s for at least a decade now. And I’m a guy who went by his office in 1993 to personally offer my congratulations. (He was very friendly and gracious, too. Actually let me in unannounced and spent about 10 minutes chatting and thanking me and all the students for our support. He’s a really great guy, but he doesn’t have it anymore.)
I’m a Florida alum and I’m more than happy to see Bowden stay while he has a pulse and/or can be propped up on the sidelines. Paterno I find amusing, he’s such a cantankerous old SOB. Bowden is like your semi-crazy, embarassing uncle who farts a lot during family get-togethers and goes on and on about the old days. Paterno you think he’d maybe take a swing at someone much bigger than himself and possibly win a fight with a guy half his age.
I liked how he was reading from notes, and doing it poorly. But the best part was right at the end where he goes to scratch his nuts lol. Someone get this guy a drink and a lawn chair, please. ![]()
No, our national security is in the hands of the U.S. military and associated agencies…which graduates of those schools may join.
How about the “Holy War”–Utah vs Brigham Young?
