At the time she joined, and it may have been JLI, not JLA, the sum total of Green Flame’s powers was the ability to spit out a lighter-like green flame from her mouth, about 3" long.

That, and she was a Brazilian swimsuit model.

   I kind of wondered about that. Prior to her joining the JLI she could do a number of other things with the flame. I distinctly remember her using the flame to ensnare a badguy like a lasso in an issue of Infinity Inc. Why, if they were going to make her a major character, did the JLI writers decide to de-power her?

Of the characters in that era, Aquaman had no secret identity to speak of. While he came from a secret city, etc., while out and about among humans he didn’t disguise himself.

In one Silver Age JLA story, Aquaman was walking around seafront dives in the persona of “C.King”. Admittedly, no secret identity to speak of, and it may even be a one-time thing, but still…
