What are the goals of the modern progressive movement in the US

Aside from world domination and reanimating Hitlers corpse, are there clear goals of the movement?

[ul]
[li]Combatting climate change via various measures (carbon tax, subsidies and credits for alternative energy, etc)[/li][li]Health care reform (single payer preferably to make health care and spending in line with other OECD nations)[/li][li]Higher minimum wage[/li][li]Reduction of income inequality[/li][li]Rebuild the labor movement[/li][li]Cheaper tertiary education[/li][li]Regulation of the financial industry[/li][li]Get money out of politics[/li][li]Continue to promote minority rights[/li][li]Combat police brutality[/li][li]Progressive taxation[/li][/ul]

Do all of these fit into a handful of meta categories? It basically seems like the meta categories are things like

[ul]
[li]Egalitarianism[/li][li]Opposing corruption and the corrupting influence of money[/li][li]Regulating the powerful so they cannot abuse the weak[/li][li]Social welfare programs[/li][li]Sustainability[/li][/ul]

It kinda depends on what part of the progressive movement you are talking about.

Some progressives think that sustainability requires MUCH more drastic measures than a few incentives here and there.

Some people think that things like gun control, vegetarianism, the organic food movement, and GMO labeling are also part of a progressive agenda.

BTW, what does this have to do with election?
