I’m looking for some books, and have exhausted all the real live stores in the area. I’ve checked amazon.com, powells.com, alibris.com, and ebay.com. Any others I should check out?
Try www.bookfinder.com – it’s a search engine for used books and searches the ones you have listed plus a bunch of others.
And try half.com – it’s mostly person-to-person selling and the prices are usually reasonable, and none of the uncertainty of bidding, like on ebay.
There’s also ABE Books. I used to like Bibliofind better, but they’re part of Amazon now.

And may I ask what’s wrong with that? I’ve found some great stuff on Bibliofind, even after it was taken over by Amazon.
I second bookfinder—best selection, they have things no one else seems to. I have spent huge gobs of cash on that damn site . . .
ha ha…
Yes, London, “great whacking gobs of cash.” (Sorry, inside joke between he and I . . .)
I knew I could count on Dopers. Bookfinder found me a new copy of the book I was looking for for cheaper than any used copy I’d seen. Cool.
