I won a photo contest in my high school photography contest with the stack! Yes, it was demolished nearly 10 years ago. Always sad to lose landmarks, but it was a very polluted site. They’ve really cleaned up the bay and the factories in the area… no more Tacoma Aroma!
The little 2-inch geckoes in the house are about as loud as crickets. We also have the big Tokay geckoes right outside the windows which are loud enough to be startling
We have great Middle Eastern food. I’ll place bets it’s the best in the country.
With the great public transportation, we can get on a bus or train, go for a hike, and then come back home, without having to bother about finding parking, plus we get to enjoy the views along the way.
Little Rock has the Arkansas River Trail it’s a15.6 mile loop on both sides of the Arkansas River. It’s anchored by the Big Dam Bridge and the Clinton Bridge.
The River Trail runs through the middle of Little Rock’s downtown. A lot of office workers use the trail during lunch.
I enjoy going during off hours. It can get crowded and the young guys rip through there at high speeds on road-racing bicycles.
Kind of lame but I like the actual location of my home:
In 6 hours I can drive to a foreign nation.
In 32 minutes I can drive to another state.
After only about a 12 minute drive I can be on the shores of the fifth largest lake on the planet.
If I cross the street to talk to my neighbor I am not only in another city but also another county than the one which I live.
