What Are These Things On My Lip?

This morning, after accidentally cutting myself while shaving, I discovered an unusual anatomical feature of my upper lip.

If I spread my fingers apart and apply mild pressure to my upper lip, the pressure reveals clusters of whitish, round protuberances approximately 0.5 mm in diameter in the gap in between my fingers. There are about a hundred such protuberances on my upper lip, but I cannot find any on my lower lip. They are not visible unless I press, squeeze or stretch my lip.

What are these?

Thanks.

They are probably minor salivary glands.
