In the NASCAR south, you could come to a party with your own cooler and case of beer which is intended only for your personal consumption and no one would see this as rude, but in the Northeast, you’d be a freak, unless you live in a very rural area.

1. Asking someone how much something they own cost them. (Actually, this may only be considered rude in the New York area).

No, that’s rude out here also, but you can ask indirectly “Niiiice, I have always wanted one. Where’d you get it? Did you get a good price?”
