What are you listening to?

Country all the way! I’m also a big fan of both Hanks. I have an MP3 cd with about 250 country songs on it that I always listen to. I just put all the songs on a playlist and let them play randomly.

I’m a huge fan of almost all country singers. Not big on female country though, I dont really know why. Right now I’m listening to “Texas on my Mind” by Jerry Jeff Walker.

I already started a thread on this:

What are you listening to right now?

BTW, I’m listening to “Two of Us” by the Beatles.

My new favorite band is Dispatch. Ever hear of 'em?

The rawk.

I always have a random mix of all my MP3’s playing. Right now, it’s “Wake Up And Lose”, by the Humpers.

And Hank Sr. is the shit.

Not even Lucinda Williams?

Right now, Tenement Symphony by Marc Almond. I’ll often listen to bhangra, avant-rock or Elvis while surfing.

Various Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and a bit of new rock (Pacifier, Blue Bottle Kiss). Also a bit of Ani DiFranco.

I’ve got on a slick double CD called Beyond Nashville which has one disc of vintage country (Hank, Merle Haggard, Jimmie Rogers, Carter Family), and another of recent ‘alt. country’ (Stacey Earle, Lambchop, Jim White, Emmylou). Right now I have on the disc with the newer music - very nice stuff.

Various MP3’s. At this exact moment, Prayer Position by AFI.

I look to my species and tremble to think that god is just…

ben folds live. more specifically, ben folds performing elton john’s “tiny dancer”.

i want to BE ben folds.

Hooverphonic’s The Magnificent Tree. Over and over and over again.

Jerry Garcia Band at the Warner Theater, Washington DC, March 1978. Best version of “Mystery Train” ever (including Elvis).

Matchbox Twenty’s new CD More Than You Think You Are - by itself this morning and now shuffled in with their other 2 CD’s.

Yeah - the songs start sounding the same - but they all sound good! (This IS IMHO, right? )

“Roam” by the B-52s. Before that, “And She Was” by The Talking Heads (one of my all-time favorite songs).

Cats singing white christmas by the Jingle Cats.

Mainly NIRVANA, as I’m working on a paper about Kurt Cobain for English 105. Some AiC, Queens of the Stone Age, Pearl Jam, and Beastie Boys peppered in for variety.

What? (Notices odd looks)

Yes, I listen to a mixture like that most of the time anyway, so it’s really not that special.

The Being Out Rocks CD from HRC.

Rancid - …And Out Come The Wolves

Rage Against the Machine, The Battle of Los Angeles.

(The last few days have been all Brit pop – Travis, Radiohead, Pulp, etc. Now I need something loud and high energy.)
