I don’t know how I missed that. I also don’t know how I missed this:
Young Man Blues - The Who
My favorite performance is from the The Isle of Wight video. I love the interaction between Pete and Keith in the beginning and then later on when Townshend goes into full guitar hero mode, letting his guitar hang down as it feeds back, firing off monster power chords, windmilling like crazy and shaking the hell out of his SG.
You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away - The Beatles

You’re Still The One – Shania Twain

Do another, Moonrise.
mmm
You Made Me So Very Happy - Blood, Sweat & Tears
“Lovin’ you is where it’s at.”
Hmm - I thought I’d do a link to the Pet Shop Boys version of You Were Always On My Mind and it appears the title is actually just Always On My Mind. Heigh ho.
Please replace with
You Wear It Well - Rod Stewart.
Sorry 'bout that mmm.
j
Done.
mmm
I had to check that. Turns out that not only the Pet Shop Boys cover, but also the original Elvis version as well as Willie Nelson’s cover (which got nominated in this thread) were all released as “Always On My Mind”. Maybe @Mean_Mr.Mustard should consider this. Sorry for the one who posted the Willie Nelson version, but we’re all sticklers here, aren’t we?
Yeah, it looks like only the very early versions (Brenda Lee, Gwen McCrae) were released as “You Were…”.
So most of them - Pet Shop Boys, Willie, Elvis, and others - will thus be available under the “A” thread.
mmm
I don’t want to junior-junior-mod, but maybe you could give @flurb who posted the Willie Nelson version a heads-up that they got another choice?
