These movies are those which I can watch anytime, and if seen on the tv guide, will be played on the television. These are not to be considered the ‘best produced, directed or filmed’ movies of all time.
A Christmas Story
As Good As it Gets
Groundhog Day
Shallow Hal
Good grief no-one’s mentioned Nashville? I recon you have to see it three or four times before it fits together. More characters than you can shake a stick at, a dozen or more major characters and loads more minor ones who keep popping up (like Frog and the bumper sticker girl). It has a bunch of plots that interweave all the way through and only pauses for some songs though even then there’s usually something else going on at the same time.
It has none of the proper movie requisites: spacecraft, aliens, insane robots, super powers, guns
well, just the one gun
and has lots of country music  and still I’ve watched it way too many times. It must have something special going for it.
Also: Dumbo. I don’t have to explain this do I?
