What band/artist would you pay a small fortune to see?

The Genesis reunion of Gabriel, Hackett, Collins, Banks, and Rutherford. I’d spend as much as I possibly could. I still hope this will happen one day.

Sepultura w/ Max Cavelara up front.

Ministry in the late 80’s/early 90’s.

Bruce Springsteen for an all acoustic set

SRV would have been really cool to see.

I’ve paid some $$ to see Def Leppard on their past couple of tours, but I’d love to have the $$ and vacation time to see them in the UK. Rush is up on my list of ‘bands I have to see before I die’ as well. I tried to get tix to their show in Columbus, OH later this summer but no luck :frowning:

There was an article in a weekend NYTimes maybe two weeks ago about artists offering “top shelf” gigs at outrageous prices. They featured **Prince **- who has been playing small gigs in Vegas, LA, the Hamptons, etc. - $3,121 per couple I think (price set based on his previous album of the same name, 3121). Apparently you get food from top chefs, great seats and sound, Prince really interacts with the crowd and plays a long time, etc. They also mentioned other artists that were trying out this format, but I can’t recall who.

I am not much of a concert goer - I tend to prefer small clubs since crowds can freak me out - so I tend to see more jazz live. But if money was not an issue, I would see Prince this way in a heartbeat. Best damn live performer of our generation, up close? I would so be there.

I would also love to see **Jeff Beck **in a smaller setting, without crushing volume, playing blues tunes off his **Truth **CD. Best damn guitarist ever.

Ditto. I’d scrape together a couple of hundred dollars for a ticket to this.

Michael Hedges (not gonna happen)
Chilliwack, just to hear them play Fly at Night (might happen)
Harmonium (not gonna happen)
