What Battle Would You Most Like/ Dislike To Participate In?

The Alamo. If I’m going to get killed, I want people to remember it.

I would like to fight under Brian Boru in any/all of his battles.

I would not like to have been a Viking during that time period. (1300’s.)

An uncle was a Marine and manned an antiaircraft gun During Pearl Harbor. He probably had a good and mainly safe view of the fireworks. Of course, it also meant that he got to be a Marine in the Pacific through VJ Day.

I wouldn’t call it a battle exactly but my time in Iraq was relatively quiet. I won’t trade that one.

As for one I wouldn’t want to be in, probably The Bulge. To go through all that while trying to fight in the deathly cold with no shelter and no winter equipment. No thanks. On that note add the French or German retreat from Russia or the frozen Chosin. I hate the cold.

“Pull up a dead Kraut and sit down.”

The Battle of San Jacinto (as a Texas soldier of course) a little while later. I would rather not get killed and still have people remember it.

Good man.

I’d love to have been on the Enola Gay. I would literally be changing world history.

I’d also want to fly with the 8th Army Air Corp over Germany. Odds are I would die, but man…

Somalia '93. Assuming I were trained up I know I would be fighting with the best.

There are countless battles that I know would suck.

Battle of Midway. With the Americans. I can’t fly an airplane. Did I mention that the sight of my own blood makes me nauseous?
