What Can I Do About UPS?

Well, it came (and to prove it, it’s here!), so I’m a bit happier. But what gets me is how many times this can happen before Amazon decides I’m just trying to get free stuff and cancels my account or something.

The UPS guy actually brought it to my door this time, but didn’t seem overly concerned about the whole thing. It’s at their expense, rather than at Amazon’s, but he didn’t really seem to care.

I just kind of think that if they’re going to be contracted to deliver this stuff to me, they ought to…you know…deliver it to me.

Correct. Most of the scans you see online are "logical"scans. which are scans of the entire container (truck or locomotive) that the package is on. IE pkg A is supposed to be on container #5. There for since container #5 is in Tampa, package A must be in Tampa as well. Also if your package does not show arrival (out for delivery) when it is supposed to be, the computer will often generate an out for delivery scan anyway. This is because alot of times it really is out for delivery and just missed being scanned, and UPS would rather risk you getting inaccurate information than having you call and bitch when there is no problem with your package.

One option you have it to file a complaint against UPS with the Better Business Bureau. I find it infuriating how difficult they make it to talk to a live human that is actually empowered to take action so you are satisfied. If they want to play that game than file the complaint since they don’t even want to talk to you.

Whenever I get into an Automated Voice Response system, I start pounding the 0 button. It usually gets me to a real person.

Sure, why would he care? He gets paid the same whether you get your package or not. He’s not paying for your replacement so what’s it to him?
